Founding Member

Technical Member

Who it's for

Engineers, researchers, and technical professionals who contribute to the specification, reference implementation, conformance test suite, or related tooling.

What you get

  • Eligibility for TSC election
  • Commit access to Foundation repositories (upon approval)
  • Participation in all Working Groups
  • Access to the technical mailing list and collaboration tools

Expectations

  • Demonstrated technical contribution to Foundation projects
  • Adherence to the contribution guidelines and code of conduct
  • Regular participation in technical review processes
Observer

Who it's for

Academics, policy makers, journalists, and individuals interested in following the development of the standard without a formal governance role.

What you get

  • Access to published specifications and public materials
  • Attendance at public meetings and events
  • Subscription to the Foundation newsletter and announcements

Expectations

  • No financial contribution required
  • Adherence to the Foundation code of conduct
  • Observer status does not confer voting rights
